Bedford, New Hampshire
VoteFor NH State Representative
From Bedford. For Bedford.
Bedford has always been more than a place to live — it's a promise that our children will have every opportunity to succeed. I'm running because I believe we must protect what makes Bedford exceptional, starting with our world-class public schools. Our representatives should answer to Bedford's values — not party politics.
Bedford's schools are among the best in New Hampshire — not by accident, but by decades of community investment. I'll fight in Concord to defend that legacy and ensure our educators and students have what they need.
Bedford families work hard. I'll fight for fiscal responsibility that doesn't squeeze working people, while protecting the services our community depends on and that make it great. Honest, sound governance — nothing more.
New Hampshire families are paying too much for energy. I'll fight for policies that bring costs down, keep the grid reliable, and protect households — especially seniors on fixed incomes — from crushing rate hikes.
"Bedford gave me so much. Now it's my turn to give back."— Geoff Wellington, Bedford, NH
Bedford raised him. Life took him elsewhere. But when it came time to put down roots and raise a family, there was only one place in the world that made sense.
Geoff Wellington grew up in Bedford — walking its school hallways, playing on its baseball diamonds and football fields, and growing up in a community where everyone looked out for each other. Bedford in the '90s felt like the best-kept secret in New Hampshire: a small town with big opportunities, where you knew your neighbors and anything felt possible if you worked hard.
Like a lot of kids who grow up somewhere special, Geoff had a lot of opportunities that allowed him to explore other places. He moved to Washington, D.C. for work and went on to earn his graduate degree from Georgetown University. From there, life took him to Scottsdale, Arizona, where he built a career in finance, accounting, and audit leadership — working for organizations ranging from large enterprises like BAE Systems, Amazon, and CVS to fast-moving startups like EXOS and Oscar Health. He learned something different at every stop. But as the years went on and it came time to think about where to put down real roots and raise a family, the answer kept coming back to the same place. There was nowhere else in the world like Bedford. So he came home.
"I remember the feeling of Bedford in the 90s — the sense that this was a place where anything was possible if you worked hard and had a good community behind you. That's what I want for every kid growing up here today."
The Wellington family — this community is personal.
Geoff has spent years coaching the next generation on the same fields where he played as a kid — youth football and baseball, Bedford Bulldogs style. Those Saturday mornings meant something beyond wins and losses. They were about teaching kids to show up, work hard, and be part of something bigger than themselves.
Today, Geoff and his family are woven into the fabric of Bedford life. His kids go to the same schools he attended. Their weekends are spent at the farms, trails, and fields he grew up loving. Having seen other places and chosen Bedford, he knows something that locals sometimes take for granted: this town is genuinely extraordinary. And it's worth fighting for.
"The best investment we can make in Bedford's future is in the education of Bedford's children. Full stop."
When Geoff casts a vote in the State House, he'll be thinking about Bedford families — not party politics, not special interests, not his own ambitions. He isn't running for a stepping stone. He's running because this is his home, and he intends to fight for it like it is.
Every donation, every volunteer hour, and every conversation with a neighbor makes a difference in a local race like this one.
Three priorities, one mission: a stronger, fairer Bedford for every family who calls this town home.
Bedford has one of the best public school systems in New Hampshire — and that didn't happen by accident. It happened because generations of residents, educators, and leaders prioritized our schools. Geoff will be a fierce advocate for public education in Concord, fighting every attempt to defund, privatize, or undermine the schools that define our community.
Education is not a partisan issue. It is the single greatest investment a community can make in its own future.
New Hampshire's tax structure is one of the things that makes it a special place to live and do business. Geoff is committed to protecting that while ensuring state government spends your money wisely. Bedford families work hard — they shouldn't have to fight their own government to keep what they earn.
New Hampshire families are paying too much to heat their homes and keep the lights on. Energy costs have risen sharply, squeezing household budgets and putting real pressure on Bedford families. Geoff believes we can lower energy costs without sacrificing reliability — and without burdening ratepayers with the cost of poorly planned mandates.
Necessary public goods must serve the public — not the other way around. When a utility has a monopoly on something families can't live without, accountability to ratepayers isn't optional.
"These are Bedford's issues — real priorities from real conversations with my neighbors."
These aren't just places on a map. They're the places where Geoff Wellington grew up, raised his family, and fell in love with this town all over again.
Geoff played on these fields as a kid and came back decades later to coach. Whether it's Little League in spring or flag football in the fall, these fields are where Bedford shows up for its kids — and Geoff has shown up every chance he gets.
Friday night football in Bedford is a tradition that goes back generations. Geoff played on these fields and later coached on them. There is nothing quite like the energy of a Bedford game night — the kind of experience that turns kids into Bedfordites for life.
Joppa Hill is Bedford at its very best — a working farm that connects families to the land and to each other. Geoff has been bringing his family here for years, whether it's picking pumpkins in October or stopping at the farm stand after a game. A Bedford institution.
There's nothing quite like hiking Pulpit Rock on an early fall morning when the leaves are turning. Geoff has walked these trails countless times with family and alone. The view from the top is a reminder of what we're protecting — a town that values its natural spaces.
Every day, thousands of Bedford kids walk into schools that rank among the best in New Hampshire. Geoff went through those schools, and his children do too. They're a source of enormous community pride and the reason he's running.
At the end of the day, what Geoff loves most about Bedford isn't any single place — it's the people. Neighbors who look out for each other. Parents who show up. Teachers who go above and beyond. Bedford is made of people who genuinely care.
